This recipe works the same for either the face or the armpits. Use the same mixture for both areas!
What you’ll need:
- Bentonite clay powder
- Apple cider vinegar
If you feel like you have sensitive skin, I’d suggest starting with mixing water only. The apple cider vinegar is stronger and could be more harsh on the skin so feel it out the more you do it.
DONT use a metal spoon to mix, it effects the clay and it wont have the proper effect!
Putting it together:
- Start mixing a 1:1 of water and the bentonite clay. Start with 1 teaspoon of each.
- IF its your first time trying apple cider vinegar, mix: 1 tablespoon clay powder, 1 teaspoon ACV and 1 teaspoon water (as a starting point and see how your skin feels).
- If its too runny add more clay powder and if its too sticky add more water. You want it to be a paste consistency.
Then apply all over your face (bentonite clay works great for black heads so make sure you get it into those areas too)
How long to leave the mask on is up to you. You should first start off with 10 minutes and work your way up if you want to leave it on for longer, see how your skin feels.
Wash the mask off with warm water (you can use a towel or your hands).
Its okay if you feel a little burning sensation and your skin becomes a little red. It should pass after some time.Set featured image
You can do the mask as often as you like but again start off slow and see what works best with your skin. Some people do it daily and some weekly or monthly its really up to you. I’d start off on a weekly basis.
