Natural Remedies for a Nasty Toothache


1. Clove oil

Place a few drops on a cotton swab and rub it on the trouble area. Clove oil contains a natural anesthetic and will relieve the pain temporarily

2. Salt water

Place some salt in a cup of water. Mix well and swish in your mouth for 30 seconds. The cleansing effect of salt can get rid of bacteria and pus causing you pain

3. Garlic 

Properties act similar to an antibiotic breaking down bacteria. You can mash up a garlic cloves and add the paste to the infected area. Or place a piece in your mouth and chew.

4. Vanilla extract

Place a few drops on a cotton swab and rub it on the infected area.

5. Onions

You can cut up some onions and create a paste, rubbing it on the infected area or you can cut a piece and chew.

6. Tumeric paste

This one is my favourite and works wonders. This paste can even reverse gingivitis. Place organic turmeric and water together to make a paste. You can add Clove oil and Oregano oil if the pain is intense. Mix together and place the paste on the infected area.
